In an effort to support the Prime Minister of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, the Haitian Senate passed a resolution to support his quest for an independent state.

What is that the Haitian Senators just supported? Mr. Mahmoud Abbas announced plans to go before the United Nations General Assembly on Friday and demand statehood for Palestinians and a seat at the table.

What will this cost Haiti for supporting Mr. Abbass quest for independence for the nation of Palestine? I don't know yet; however, what i know is that this decision from the Haitian senators go against the wishes of many of its big friends. in that, I want to mention France, United States and Canada.

For the history book, in 1947 Haiti provided a deciding vote in the United Nations to create the State of Israel.
