The Organization of American States (OAS), received the Special Envoy of the Organization of the United Nations Educational (UNESCO) for Haiti, Michaëlle Jean. In her presentation to the members of the OAS, Michaelle Jean expressed her desire to see member countries to work together and cooperate in helping Haiti rebuild
Michaelle Jean who is from Haiti took the opportunity to lecture the members about the history of his country and its struggle for independence. Relating the contribution of Haiti to the actual independence of many nations in Latin America, Jean explained to the group that now Haiti wants them.
In her speech, Michaelle Jean point out the commitment of his organization, UNESCO, to work with the current President of Haiti Michel Martelly to implement his National Education program.
She did not forget to talk about the reach culture that Haiti has.
