Haiti is showing good sign that it wants to govern itself differently than in the past. The country is receiving technical support from the Club de Madrid, an internationally well known organization.
On Thursday, September 29, 2011, the Club de Madrid completed its fifth mission in Haiti. The delegation includes: former President of Mauritius, Cassam Uteem, former Prime Minister of Canada and Vice President of the Global Leadership Foundation, Joe Clark, Mr. Juan Gabriel Valdés. The objective of the Club de Madrid mission was to support the process for institutionalizing politic in Haiti and also political dialogue.
The Club de Madrid met several high officials of the Haitian government. A meeting was held with President Michel Martelly, Former Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive and current Prime Minister-designate, Gary Conille.
