President for is his ability to pull Haitians all over the world to
focus on Haiti. Herold Charles, appointed on September21, 2011 by
Michel Martelly as one of the 32 members of the newly created
Presidential Advisory Council on groth and Investment. The Advisory
Council is co-chaired by Bill Clinton.
The life of Herold Charles is an inspiration to all Haitians and
the world. A poor Haitian boy who came to Turks & Caicos Islands
with nothing, Herold Charles managed to become one of the most
successful individuals in the island. He started working as an
airplane cleaner and later became the owner of the largest airline
in Turks & Caicos Islands. What makes the man a role model to me is
that he was not satisfied in keeping the wealth for himself. Herold
Charles is today a major player in global economy and a
philanthropist
Those are some of the Haitians who make me proud to be Haitians. I
just wish his story could be told to our youth to motivate them so
they can become better citizens of the country
