Since the return of President Michel Martelly from his Latin American trip, there has been mounting pressure on him to select a new Prime Minister.
Recently, the rumor has it that the two leading candidates for post are Professor Wilson Laleau Vice Rector, Academic Affairs, Université d’Etat d’Haiti and the sociologist Daniel Supplice.

Based on information received by the "Haitian Joudalist", the final choice will likely be Professor Wilson Laleau.

In the meantime, President Michel Martelly does not seem to worry too much about selecting a new Prime Minister. As he states earlier this week, he has the name of the next Prime Minister already and is currently consulting with members of both houses to make sure that what happened to his previous two candidates does not happen to his next candidate for the Prime Minister position.

Many people already believe that there is no way the selection of a candidate such as Professor Wilson Laleau could be rejected by either the Haitian parliaments or Senators. Wilson Laleau who as a long academic background and being the Vice Rector, Academic Affairs at the Université d’Etat d’Haiti would be nominated with flying colors.

The Senator of Sud-Est, Edwin "Edo" Zenny, reported to the press that Michel Martelly will likely make public his selection for Prime Minister this weekend. In the meantime, President Michel Martelly confirmed that his commission for the selection of a Prime Minister and the Haitian Parliaments are in negotiation for the selection of the next prime Minister
