Habitat for Humanity creating housing community in Leogane

Santo community has been determined the target for a five year plan for Habitat for Humanity to build housing for 50,000 families in Haiti. With the help of several international donors, Habitat for Humanity will focus on Santo community in Leogane, Haiti.

Habitat for Humanity plans to create housings that comply with all the norms and regulations in regard to safety and modernization, with inputs from the residents of the area. They are partnering with Architecture for Humanity to develop the overall master plan for the Santo project in Leogane. Habitat for Humanity wants to decrease the ongoing problem of overcrowding in the area and the problem of building everywhere and not leaving available space will not exist.
