advertisement
The Minister of Communication, Ady Jean Gardy, was born in Haiti and is the founder of the Haitian Press Federation, an umbrella organization for various Haitian press organizations. He is also the founder of the University of Journalism which was internationally recognized as the "Haitian Centre for Teaching Journalists" in 1986. He was inculcated as the new minister of communication with her colleague Stéphanie Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, by a delegation of the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe.

Ady Jean Gardy’s cardinal principles include eradicating poverty among the journalists and improving the environment of operation of the press in Haiti through a Collective Labor Agreement. His main objectives are:
1.To fill the gap of information of the Government of the Republic of Haiti without going through the propaganda.
2.Manage a positive image of Haiti throughout Haiti and the world.
3.Promote citizenship and social communication for sustainable development.

In Jean Gardy’s manifesto of the work he will do as the present minister of communication he included providing insurance to the workers under his ministry. He paid tribute to communication professionals for their invaluable contribution to democratic principles. Ady Jean Gardy is ready to do anything in his power to restore freedom of the press and to work with all the press associations of the country to foster a climate of confidence between civil societies. We hope that the minister of communication will live to his promises.
