Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe in Boucan Carr�

On Friday, April 25, 2014, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe accompanied by a large team of government delegation visited Boucan Carré as a prelude to the seventh edition of the "Gouvènman an Lakay ou" (Government Home) program. Boucan Carré is a municipality with 48,700 inhabitants, located in the Mirebalais Arrondissement in the Central Department of Haiti. Its neighborhood houses the most vulnerable population of the country. 

 

The Prime Minister, who had prioritized the care and concern for the poor in his agenda, met the unfortunate poor inhabitants of Boucan Carré and inquire personally about their basic fundamental needs like drinking water, electricity and other essentials. He also inquired about the requirement of logistics equipments by the office of the municipality of the commune and checked the state of construction of the section road between Boucan Carré Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite. 

 

The Head of the Government has expressed his commitment to serve the destitute in the presence of the Honorable Deputy Abel Descollines of Mirbalais/ Boucan Carré and the Interim Executive Officer Max Millien. They had a little chat with a 90 year old bedridden lady named Miracia Dieudonné who was visibly upset by low vision. The Prime Minister himself presented her an adjustable glass.

 

The prime Minister, after completing his visit to the most vulnerable areas of Boucan Square, has instructed that three of the most precarious houses in the area to benefit from the support of "Ranje Kay Katye"
