located in Tabarre, the University of the Aristide Foundation (UNIFA), is back in business. The official date that the University will open its doors will be on September 27, 2011. The Faculty of Medicine of the University of the Aristide Foundation (UNIFA), wrovide training for  a total of 126 medical students in the country who just passed their entrance exam.

With the assistance of Cuba and many other countries in the region, many Haitian children will be able to receive their medical education at home. It is likely that the former President of Haiti, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, will deliver a speech sometimes in September 2011 as UNIFA is opening. The president will be able to give us some of his vision for the future and who knows, his political plan as well.

The University of the Aristide Foundation (UNIFA), founded February 14, 2001. All activities at the University were suspended following the departure of President Aristide into exile on Feb. 29, 2004.
