The telethon was broadcasted for over two hours. Funds were collected by phone, via text messaging and over the internet. In the United States, Haiti Now Telethon was broadcasted via 25 networks. The Hope for Haiti Now Telethon which was organized by George Clooney was very successful. George Clooney's humanitarian work did not start with the Hope for Haiti Now Telethon.
