Supermodel Neomi Campbell, through her contact in the fashion, music, film and TV world, was able to organize a Fashion for Relief Haiti event. This year's show that was co-hosted by Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson brought together some of the best and internationally known artists in design, modeling and singing.

The Fashion show was held with the objective to raise money toward rebuilding the health care system in Haiti. Neomi Campbel organized two Fashion for Relief Haiti events in order to raise money for the victims of Haiti earthquake. Her first event took place during New York Fashion Week and the second, to raise money for mothers and their new born in Haiti.

On January 12, 2010, Haiti was hit by one of the worst disaster in its history. A magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck the island around the city of Leogane located about 10 miles south of Port-au-Prince. The January 12 earthquake was the most powerful earthquake that hit Haiti for over 200 years. As a result of the earthquake, close to 300,000 people died, over 250,000 residential and 30,000 commercial buildings were destroyed.
