The authorities are moving with a plan to establish a National Botanical Garden in

Haiti. Taking advantage of the emphasis around the world on conservation, protection

for the environment,  green, a symposium was held in Haiti for the purpose of creating

a National Botanical garden in Haiti.

The symposium includes more than fifteen foreign experts and 40 Haitians was taking

place specifically to make sure that the objective of establishing a National Botanical

garden in deed becomes a reality in a few years.

said that the Botanical Garden will be created on an area of approximately 300 hectares

of land.

Among the major supporters of this National Botanical Garden in Haiti are: the

Institute for Preservation of National Heritage (ISPAN), the Ministry of Agriculture

and the Environment among others.
