advertisement
The tourism industry is a major economic force in the Caribbean. For many of these countries, tourism accounts for over 50 percent of their Gross national product. In the case of Haiti however, that has not been the case for the past 25 years. Due to a period of political instability in the country, the Haitians were unable to take advantage of their most precious resource, which is accommodation to bring more tourism in the country.

While Haitians have been fighting among themselves, other Caribbean nations have been doing very well in developing infrastructures and investing in campaigns to bring these tourist who arrive in the Caribbean to their specific countries.

Haiti has so many thing that it can offer to visitors. Beside the beautiful beaches, mountains, and a tropical climate that most visitors are looking for in the Caribbean, Haiti has a great history, filled with souvenirs sites of these periods that foreigner would love to visit and learn about.

Haitians need to get their act together so that they can take advantage of their rich country in term of history, culture and beauty
