Telecom Piracy Ring, known as bypassing, busted by Haitian Police

One Haitian institution seems to be making some progress. The "Haitian Joudalist" learned that the Haitian National Police (PNH), conducted the biggest raid in its history. This is a Telecom Piracy Ring, known as bypassing, is worth $750,000 per Month, U.S. It involves using fraudulent telephone number to call Haiti and avoiding normal communication charges.
According to defend.ht, this week, Digicel provided to the Haitian authorities, including the Haitian Police and the National Coucil of Communication, CONATEL, information on telephone numbers detected to be part of the the Telecom Piracy ring to avoid telecommunication charges by Haitian authorities.
The report indicated that several equipments suspected to be involved in the piracy ring, known as bypassing, were seized by the Haitian National Police (PNH) and five arrests made in several private properties both in Fragneau Ville and Delmas 30.
