Stadium Sylvio Cator

The main soccer stadium in Haiti, Stadium Sylvio Cator was named after the great Haitian Olympic Medalist Sylvio Cator.

Sylvio Cator was born on October 28, 1900 in Cavaillon. He was a Haitian football player who played for the Trivoli and the Racine Club Haitian. Mr. Cator won a silver medal in the long jump in the 1928 Summer Olympic in Amsterdam.

Stadium Sylvio Cator is a multi-purpose sport facility in Port-au-Prince with a capacity for 30,000 people. The facility was partly destroyed by the earthquake of January 12, 2010.

In the past, stadium Sylvio Cator held many competitions. All major Haitian football teams played in the stadium
