Last night was a night that did not go so right for our Haitian-Canadian boxer Jean Pascal at the Bell Centre in Quebec. Pascal was defeated in a close match with the Canadian fighter Hopkins.
According to the many spectators, the fight between boxers Jean Pascal and Hopkins was very close for the first four rounds. However, by the fifth round Hopkins was dominant, landing some major blows on Pascal.
At the end of the fight, the verdict came in an unanimous decision by the three judges. The scorecards of the three Judges read 116-112, 115-113, and 115-114 in favor of Hopkins.
This was not the first the two had to face-up. Last December, Pascal was the winner of that match over Hopkins following by majority draw.
Hopkins is now the new WBC light heavyweight championship of the world with the win over the Haitian-Canadian Jean Pascal.
