Richard Cave learned First step of music from his father. He started singing with his father at the age of 3. He got his first keyboard at the age of 9. His father and uncle Syto Cave brought it to him. To improve his skills he took some piano lessons. He went to the music school Soeurs Nicholas to learn reading and writing music and spent two years over there. Teaming up with some other friends Richard created K-Dans for the first time at the age of 13.
Though Richard’s father wanted him to keep off from music for his study, he worked with Papash at the age of 15 for their second album. The following year, Richard Cave helped Alan Cave, his cousin, produce the song ‘Cheri Mennem Ale’. He also produced for King Posse to learn different style. In his second album he worked with K-Dans and produced a hit track ‘Valerie’. He then went to New York to carry on his studies.
In a short time Richard Cave became one of the three legs of the band Carimi which consisted of five members. The band released its first album ‘Bang Bang’ in 2001 which surprised the world with new vibes, new styles, and new sounds. Following the release of their first album they performed live for the first time in the same year at SOB’s in New York.
