Carimi has moved to the forefront of the global music scene because of their development of a new digital sound that has taken the Haitian music industry by storm, netting them Best Album of the Year by the global music industry. The band has reached the top of the Billboard charts throughout the Caribbean, Europe, and Canada.
The Haitian music industry says that Carimi may well be the first revolutionary Kompas band to have been embraced by non-Kompas music lovers, and feels Carimi can dominate the global music scene, which would be a first for a Haitian Kompas band.
