Two young members of the organization from Château-Vert presented two plays to entertain the visitors of the event. Two young university students from the local zone discussed about the origin and the process of development of agriculture through the ages. They also explained the importance and necessity of agriculture in the light of local consumption in a country. They further explained how an improved method of cultivation can benefit farmers and save the environment.
The occasion gave an opportunity to the large number of participants present in the event from the local and surrounding areas to taste exotic Creole dishes. This was an excellent way to honor and entertain farmers who are the backbone every nation and at the same time, promote Haitian culinary traditions with due respect.
Sunday Wilner, the Coordinator and Joseph Jean Rissonne, the Secretary of OPANOVISS who were present on the occasion, took the opportunity to point out the most basic and urgent needs of the Six Communal Section: health, water, roads, education, agricultural credit and civic education. He had reminded that although 120,000 Gourdes were sanctioned for its rehabilitation, the main road that leads to Chateau-Vert is still lying in miserable condition.
