This center was built in Little Haiti to promote the art. The Little Haiti Cultural Center offers a learning environment for young Haitian artists to gain exposure to the Haitian culture and the Haitian art in particular. The Center will promote talent, imagination and creativity.
Little Haiti Cultural Center was intended to serve as a showcase for Afro-Caribbean art, music, theater and dance. It came out of an ambitious proposal by former city Commissioner Arthur Teele for an extensive Little Haiti park. Later the new City Commissioner Michelle Spence Jones assured its completion.
