With technical and financial support provided by the German International Cooperation (GIZ), there is an effort being made to recover the border zone’s ecosystems of Haiti and the Dominican republic.
The goal of the project by the name of Libón River Basin Management Project is to restore the area of forest cover.
This is a project that will benefit both countries. In Spanish, the project is called Libón Verde (green).
