Based on a a diplomatic cable from the United States Embassy in Nassau obtained by Wikileaks. An analysis  by the embassy revealed that the tense situation in the Bahamas between the Haitians and the Bahamians is cause for problems in the future.

It is estimated that between 30,000 and 70,000 Haitians or people of Haitian parents are unsatisfied of their condition. It is estimated that the population in the Bahamas is 350,000.

just by doing the math, we are looking at anywhere between Nine and twenty percent of the population living in the Bahamian who are unhappy in the living condition in the country.
