Haitian football players quarantined in Jamaica and forced to leave competition

The Haitian Youth football team from the CONCACAF Under 17 were tested in Jamaica and two of them were tested positive for malaria. Several players were quarantined by Jamaica's Ministry of Health.
Following the test results, Jamaican's officials made a demand to the CONCACAF officials that the Haitian team be removed from the competition. This was subsequently granted.
On Saturday, a crowd of over 1,500 people marched in the streets of Port-au-Prince to protest the behavior of the Jamaican officials vis-a-vis the Haitian Youth football team from the CONCACAF Under 17. According to Yves Jean Bart, president of the Haitian football Federation: "The Haitian team was unjustly forced to withdraw". He also demanded that FIFA sanction Jamaica as a result.
