Haitian Football Federation (FHF) to start Renovation work at Haiti National Stadium Sylvio Cator

As the preliminaries of the World Cup near, The Haitian Football Federation or as it is called in French, La Federation Haitienne de Footboll, will start renovating Haiti National Stadium Sylvio Cator. The Preliminaries for the world Cup in Brazil in 2014 or the CONCACAF is expected to start in the Caribbean and Latin America on September 3 of this year.
The renovation works at Stadium Sylvio Cator will include the replacement of the field that was badly damaged after many Haitians, made homeless by the earthquake, found refuge at the stadium. Additionally, work will be done in the building that was damaged by the earthquake as well, and some areas to be modernized. The Haitian Football Federation is also looking at installing new lighting system inside of the stadium.
The renovation work at Stadium Sylvio Cator is expected to begin In April, 2011. It will remain closed throughout the renovation and reopen just in time for the preliminaries for the world Cup on September 3rd.
