Who thought that we could not compete at the international level. Haiti found itself in a better position than Russia or Kenya in term of corruption. According to an annual survey by the transparency International Haiti is a more transparent country than Russia or Kenya in the 2010 transparency index.

Denmark, New Zealand and Singapore are perceived to be some of the best run and least corrupted countries in the world. In the meantime, some of the usual suspects are back as the world most corrupted. According to the survey, Haiti has shown improvement for year 2009 to year 2010 in transparency. Haiti moved from the position of 169 in 2009 to 146 in 2010, of an improvement of 23 points. The Haitian government needs to be commended for that effort.
