Hotel Oloffson in Port-au-Prince has a rich history.

Hotel Oloffson is situated in the heart of Haiti. It is located at Ave Christophe #60, Port-au-Prince, Haiti and provides lodging and entertainment to its guests.

Hotel Oloffson is dated back to the 19th century. It was built by President Jean Vilbrun Guillaume Sam, the son of another former Haitian president Tiresias Simon-Sam and became the private residence of the family.

During the American occupation 1915 and 1934, the Oloffson building was transformed into a Hospital. It was under the direction of the American Marines.

The building became Hotel Oloffson in 1935 after it was purchased by a Swedish seaman by the name of Werner Gustav Oloffson. The hotel changed hands many times since that time. In 1987, Hotel Oloffson was purchased by Richard A. Morse who later created his musical band, RAM, that performs on a regular basis at the Hotel.
