U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen visits Haiti on the first anniversary of the 2010 Haiti earthquake to get adequate information in order to a new action plan for the country.
U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen visited Haiti back in July 2010 and was not impress with the space of the recovery. In a statement released to the press, U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen said: "It's important that I'm able to go to Haiti, a country that's near and dear to the U.S.. "It's very important to U.S. interests and we have a vested interest in seeing that stability, democracy and free enterprise take root there."
U.S. Representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen is also the current chairwoman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee
