Military Engineering Contingent of U.N. MINUSTAH in Haiti

The United Nation force in Haiti has been changing in its composition. The emphasis is now put into reconstruction and technical support. This is evident this week with the arrival of the Indonesian Military Engineering Contingent in October, 2011.
This new Indonesian Military Engineering Contingent, called INDOENGCOY, is composed of 19 members. Now, the total number of Military Engineers in Haiti has increased to 167. These Military Engineering Contingents of the U.N. MINUSTAH will focus on Haiti infrastructure. They will be building roads, bridges and canals.
