President Michel Martelly seems to be be loosing his touch with the Haitian Lawmakers. One thing that makes some people to begin to make such consideration is the absence of two leaders of both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies during activities in Marchand Dessalines to commemorate the death of the Emperor Jean Jacques Dessalines. Neither Senate Jean Rodolph Joazile, President of the Senate, nor Deputy Sorel Jacinthe, President of the Chamber of Deputies were present.
There are rumors that attribute this to the recent behavior of the President, and particularly his statement when he return from the Dominican Republic.
This is a story worth following. We will inform you if any issue, behavior or statement come to our way
