The 2010 Haitian Kompa Festival at Bayfront Part in Down Town Miami

The Haitian Compas Festival is an annual music event featuring Compas music of Haiti. It is an opportunity to enjoy some good music from Haiti as it features some of the hottest Haitian Kompa music bands and artists


The 2010 Compas Festival was held at Bay front Park in Down town Miami. The line up included Carimi, DISIP, Djakout mizik, T-Vice, Kreyol la and many others.

One disappointing note regarding the 2010 Compas Festival is that Wyclef Jean that was supposed to show up did not appear at the festival.

From the first the time that I arrived at the festival, the sound of Kompa was blasting in all four corners of the park. The Compa bands that participated at the Kompa festival were tru truly electric.

There was no time to seat down since everyone was on their feet screaming and dancing to their favorite bands. most of the band performed their latest hits such as Carimi in "BUZZ".
