The tropical storm Tomas just left the island of St. Lucia, leaving behind at least 5 dead and many more missing. The storm also caused damages in St. Vincent. More than 1,000 people went into shelter, seeking protection against Tomas.
Now as it has taken the direction for Haiti, Tomas is expected to intensify and become a category one or two hurricane before reaching the coasts of Haiti. The tropical storm is currently located at approximately 200 miles south of Les Cayes and Jacmel

In any organized society, this time would be reserved to the implementation of the Emergency Plan for the regions predicted to be affected by Hurricane Tomas. The government would be involved in communicating the locations of all the shelters.
