I have an idea, let's privatize Haiti and make it run like a business

Will the big corporations resolve the problems of Haiti? Just like many others had done in the past, Timberland Company, a manufacturer and retailer of outdoors wear will be involver in reforestation of Haiti. The company is planning to plant 5 million trees in the nest 5 years between Haiti and china's Horgin Desert. Timberland Company estimates that this project will be creating job opportunities, while protecting the environment.
Timberland has not been the only company to come to the rescue of Haiti recently. Following the January 12, 2010 Haiti earthquake, an impressively large number of companies contributed to the victims. Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and Google donated one million dollars each to the victims of the earthquake. Wal-Mart, Web Hosting company Go Daddy, Restaurant company Yum! Brands Inc. and the Pew Charitable Trusts pledged $500,000 in contribution
Do you think the solution to Haiti's problems is in the hands of the multi National corporations?
If so far major corporations have been by far more effective than our elected government, why can't we privatize Haiti?
Do you think a private corporation would do a better job running Haiti now?
I personally think they would. Any corporation would see that it is in its best interest to provide electricity to the people because it would be able to generate a profit.
Any corporation would want to take advantage of the natural beauty of the land as well as our Caribbean sun by bringing more tourists to Haiti, providing all the necessary accommodations and consequently create jobs and make money.
On the other hand, our experiences with Haiti governments and presidents have been overall negative. A long history of Coup d'Etat, corruption, incompetence, lack of services is the only thing we can show for.
This video is a from Mr. Ron Paul who was explaining how American people can help Haiti. The American corporations and the American military can also help. However, he stated that the best way to help Haiti in the long term is to make them become self sufficient and reorganize their economy so that they can take care of themselves
