Today, the Haiti Recovery Commission is one member short. Gabriel Verret who was the Interim Executive Director for Haiti Recovery Commission suddenly resigned his position. According to HaitiLibre.com, no detail was provided.
The Interim Haiti Recovery Commission was created to ensure planning and implementation of the earthquake recovery efforts. It has for function to coordinate the donor, civil society and private sector communities, promote performance toward Haiti's development goals and insure accountability and transparency.
Former U.S. president Bill Clinton and Haiti Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive, are co-chairmen of the Interim Haiti Recovery Commission.
