Daniel Evinx has also been actively involved with several activities and projects of the Haitian government through several grassroots organizations. This includes the painting and cleaning of the country’s bridges before Haiti’s national carnival which endorses both local and international tourism.
Because of this involvement, he was recently accused by former government official Gabriel Fortuné for having received a huge amount of money from President Martelly’s family, for interfering in Fortuné’s affairs as the president’s representative to the country’s south department, and for being involved in the appointment of several government officials. Evinx denied all these allegations and continues to serve voluntarily in different public institutions.
The dedication to public service this businessman has portrayed for many years, as well as the success of Dan’s Creek, have gained his position as a Volunteer Ambassador for the tourism of Haiti’s south. Daniel Evinx, along with six other public personalities, will help the Ministry of Tourism strategize on how to promote the South, which has been successfully started off by Haiti’s 2012 national carnival held in Les Cayes.
