Major improvement in Haiti's security as Homicide and crime rates decline Picture Gallery

The homicide rates in Haiti dropped sharply. Haiti has been considered to be one of the most dangerous countries in the world at one point. According to this latest figure, this is not to be the case after all

Honduras was more dangerous that Haiti, although we hardly hear from tha country. Honduras had an average annual homicide rate of 50 per 100,000 from 2004 to 2009.

The country of Jamaica is considered one of the top tourist destinations in the world has a crime rate much higher than Haiti. Jamaica is also holding leading position in term of crime and violence, with an average annual homicide rate of 60 per 100,000 from 2004 to 2009

In the meantime, Jamaica is doing very wel in the area of tourism. It has been doing so well in this area that tourism is considered to be one of the leading sources of revenue for the Caribbean country
