Here is a picture of a building used by Dauphin Plantation in Caracol. In the 1940s and in the 1950s, this was the main employer in the regin. It was involved in the production of Sisal a Sisal and Fiber Rope in Haiti

At one point, Haiti was a major exporter of Sisal and Fiber Rope. Dauphin Plantation was the largest employer in Haiti, providing jobs to over two thousands people
